Navy War room leak: Court issues showcause to Tihar prison official

Special CBI Judge Sanjeev Aggarwal issued showcause notice to the superintendent of Tihar Jail no. 4 where Verma is lodged.

A Delhi court in connection with the 2006 Naval war room leak case has directed the Tihar Jail superintendent to explain why action must not be taken against him for not producing before it arms dealer Abhishek Verma, who is facing trial along with three former naval officers and an ex-Wing Commander.

“Issue showcause notice against the Superintendent, Jail, concerned, as to why appropriate action should not be taken against him for not producing accused Abhishek Verma for the last two dates. He is directed to appear in person on the next date of hearing,”the court observed.
