Masroor bail plea rejected

The court also granted Bangalore police plea for 180 days time.

A special terrorism court in Bangalore Saturday rejected a bail plea filed by Mehdi Masroor Biswas, 25, the alleged Islamic State (IS) supporter who operated pro-IS twitter account @shamiwitness.

The court also granted Bangalore police plea for 180 days time as available under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act to file their chargesheet against him.

Masroor has been booked under Section 125 (waging war against any Asiatic Power in alliance with the government of India), Section 39 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 2004, for supporting a terror outfit and Section 66 of the IT Act, 2000, for the misuse of computers.
