Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India touched a new record high on December 15 across 24 carats, 22 carats, and 18 carats. According to a Goldman Sachs report, around 70% of global institutional investors expect gold prices to rise further next year. However, it declined across all purity levels today, on Tuesday, December 16.

According to GoodReturns, 24-karat gold today is priced at ₹13,386 per gram, down by ₹152 from the previous session. Similarly, 22-karat gold witnessed a decrease of ₹140, trading at ₹12,270 per gram. Prices of 18-karat gold also moved lower, falling by ₹115 to ₹10,039 per gram.
