Kashmir unrest: Doctors protest killings of civilians in Valley
The staff of SKIMS Medical College here held a demonstration to protest against the killings as well as alleged harassment of hospital staff by the paramilitary.
In Shopian district, thousands of people marched towards the district headquarters while youths organised a bike rally.
Doctors and paramedics took to the streets in Srinagar on Monday to protest against the killings of civilians, even as curfew and restrictions continued in Kashmir for the 24th day.
The staff of SKIMS Medical College here held a demonstration to protest against the killings as well as alleged harassment of hospital staff by the paramilitary. Holding placards, the doctors marched from the hospital to the Jammu-Baramulla national highway, where they were made to disperse.
Protests were also recorded at other places, especially south Kashmir. Three civilians were wounded when police and paramilitary forces opened fire at protesters in Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway.
