Konwar had told some local news channels about the murders, including that of a doctor, a Congress leader and a Marwari businessman.

“We are yet to ascertain whether he was really involved in so many murders,” said Bhuyan. He said a pistol, some ammunition and a grenade were recovered from Konwar, who is the son of a former Nagaland police constable.
