The youth also wanted to know Amarinder’s plans to provide them with jobs if he formed government in the state.
While talking to the media on the alleged expose made by AAP on the drug smuggling racket in Punjab, Amarinder said, “I had opposed the demand for a CBI inquiry against Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia just because many agencies, including Punjab police, Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax department, were probing the allegations leveled by drug smuggler Jagdish Bhola against Bikram.”
He said Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh’s statement about his understanding with Majithia was completely false.
Amarinder also held metings with Congress workers of urban and rural units in Amritsar and promised that the Congress government would set up a powerful institution of Lokpal that would include the Chief Minister under its jurisdiction.
