Ranveer Singh feels ‘honoured’ on playing Peshwa Bajirao

“It’s Peshwa Bajirao’s 315th birth anniversary today. Such an honour to be a part of the telling of his love story … #HappyBirthdayBajirao,” Ranveer posted on micro-blogging website Twitter.

 

‘Bajirao Mastani’ also features actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles.

The historical love story features Ranveer as 18th century Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao I, while his love interest Mastani’s role is essayed by Deepika. National Award winner Priyanka portrays Kashibai, the first wife of Peshwa Bajirao.

The film is slated to hit the theatres on December 18.
