Last seen in Samrat & Co., Rajeev Khandelwal has now decided to go international. The actor has been roped in for an Indo-Australian film titled Salt Bridge.

While Rajeev was approached for the film six months ago, the actor decided to give a nod for the project recently. The film, which is directed by Australia based Indian Abhijit Deonath, is based on the life of an Indian man and his relationship with an Australian woman which constantly faces hurdles owing to the cultural differences. In fact, we hear that Abhijit initially was reluctant to offer the script to Rajeev but convincing him wasn’t a difficult task after the filmmaker decided to fly down to India and narrated the script. Khandelwal mentioned that he will be playing the role of an Indian man with values.

Apparently, the film is being made for international film festivals but it will surely have an extensive release in India too. Salt Bridge also stars New Zealand actress Chelsie Preston along with Indian actress Usha Jadhav. It will be extensively shot in Sydney and Canberra and is slated to go on floors on December 27.
