The 110 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army), Madras here, will conduct a recruitment rally for candidates to enlist in the territorial army under the category of soldiers, from October 19.
The candidates who belong to Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka and the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Goa, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry are eligible to appear for it from October 19 to 23 at PRS Grounds, here from 6 am onwards, an official communique said today.
While the physical test would be conducted on October 19, the medical test and personal interview will be held later for candidates who had cleared the physical test. The candidates who are employed in civil or self-employed, ex-NCC cadets, outstanding sportsmen, chef, mason, artist, painters, LMV/HMV license holders, musicians, wood art worker and dependents of servicemen/ex-servicemen will be given preference, it said.
Those employed in civil organisations will have to produce a No Objection Certificate from their employers. Interested persons should be present with in sportswear with original education certificates, PAN card, Aadhar card and ration card along with six passport size photographs, it added.

Education qualification
For soldier general duty, the minimum educational qualification is a pass in Class 10 with 45 per cent aggregate
marks and the candidate should be in the age group of 18 to 42 years, the release said.
The minimum education qualifications and physical standards required are (a) Solider (General duties)
Age: 18 to 42 years
Physical standard – Height-160cms, weight 50 kgs, chest – minimum 77cms
Education qualification : SSLC/ Class 10 pass out with 45 per cent marks.
