Dr Mahantesh B Ramannavar, an anatomy professor in Karnataka, has registered over 5,000 body donations through his charitable trust and facilitated the transfer of 200 bodies to medical colleges. Despite facing opposition, he was inspired by William Harvey and sought help from spiritual gurus to bridge the gap between excess and shortage of bodies in medical colleges.
