Jabra Evolve UC review, Jabra Evolve UC, Jabra professional headsets The urge to hear clearly and to be heard clearly has to be really big for you to buy this one.

It is rare, or almost impossible to find a headset that has been created for work. Jabra hopes to change that with the Jabra Evolve 65 UC, a headset created with the professional and his work environment in mind. So how good is this at work?

Design: The Jabra Evolve 65 UC has a very compact design. The ear cups are round and have a soft foam that sits perfectly on your ears. Not too comfortable, just right. The mic can be turned up when you don’t need it and the headband is comfortable enough for office use. On the left ear cup is the power button which also has the Bluetooth connect toggle. There are battery and Bluetooth indicators just beside it. Just below is the USB port to charge the headset. The ear-cups can fold flat, if you want to put them away in the office locker.

Performance: The Jabra Evolve 65 UC is made for Plug & Play on unified communication. It can connect to almost anything from a smartphone to a tablet and a laptop, provided there is a Bluetooth. What it can’t do have a wired connection with a PC which does not have Bluetooth. So if you are catering to offices and call centres in India, then I am not sure how effective something that does not work with a 3.5mm jack would be. However, it works wonderfully well on Bluetooth and is very easy to set up. Plus, there is the tap to connect NFC connection for those with compatible devices.

The audio quality is very good and the voice comes out clear and sharp. The audio on the other end is also equally good. There is active noise cancellation and that is very good for those who cannot avoid long conversations while in a noisy office. The noise cancellation takes care of most ambient noises, unless the source is very close to you. Which is also good as you don’t want to be completely oblivious of what is happening around you.

You can use the headset to listen to music too. But I found the sound quality a bit flat and heavy on the bass. Plus, there are no options to adjust volume or skip tracks on the headset. If you are serious about your music you might need something better than this.

Verdict: The Jabra Evolve 65 UC is a good option for those who are stuck in long conference calls in office. But at a price of Rs 12,386, you will need to pay a premium for the clarity and comfort. The urge to hear clearly and to be heard clearly has to be really big for you to buy this one.
