After two sneak peeks revolving around Prithviraj, the latest teaser from Ranam features Rahman playing a suave and serious character.

Sony Pictures has said that they will be joining hands with Prithviraj Sukumaran’s new production company for their debut project. The untitled film will also be the first project for Mollywood star Prithiviraj who recently started his own production company with his wife.

Prithviraj has chosen to enjoy driving his new Lamborghini Huracan without having to constantly worry about a knock on his door by the taxmen. He has paid a whopping Rs 43.16 lakh in road taxes for his high-end swanky new ride.

Apart from Kottayam Kunjachan 2, Mammootty has several other projects in the pipeline, including Parole, Uncle, Peranbu, Abrahaminte Santhathikal and period dramas Mamankam and Kunjali Marakkar.

The latest teaser of Ira shows a sequence which is eerily similar to the real-life incident involving Dileep. The film opens in theatres on March 16.

Njan Marykutty is helmed by Ranjith Sankar, who has done several films with Jayasurya in the past.

Mammootty launched the My Story trailer. The film is produced and directed by debutant female director Roshni Dinakar. Roshni has previously worked as a costume designer for several films. It stars Prithiviraj and Parvathy.

Sajeev Pazhoor, who wrote the acclaimed Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, will be writing the story for this film. Filmmaker Dileesh Nair will co-write the screenplay of the film with Unnikrishnan.

In July last year, Prithviraj announced his decision to walk out of the production company August Cinema Pvt Ltd, which he jointly launched with Shaji and Santosh. Ending the six-year-long association, he had said it was time for him to do things on his own.

Director Lijo Jose Pellissery won the best director award for Ee Ma Yau, a satirical drama starring Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose and Dileesh Pothan. Ottamuri Velicham, helmed by popular independent filmmaker Rahul Riji Nair, was selected as the best film.

Rana Daggubati is all set to make his debut in Malayalam with the magnum opus Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma: The King of Travancore, which will be directed by K.Madhu. Hollywood VFX specialist Chuck Comisky has been roped in for the film.

Director Arun Gopy on his Facebook page officially made the announcement about the project, which will be bankrolled by Tomichan Mulukupadam. The film will have actor Pranav Mohanlal.
