
Xiaomi Mi Max, a 6.44-inch phablet has been announced in China. The company also unveiled MIUI 8 OS, which it says comes with a brand new look and several new features. Xiaomi Mi Max is the company's largest screen-sized smartphone till now. Mi Max weighs 203gm and comes with a large 4,850mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in China starting May 17, and is expected to launch for India soon. Mi Max comes with storage options – 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Read more here

Xiaomi Mi Max is backed by a large 4,850 mAh battery, which the company claims will support up to 14 hours of video streaming in a single charge. The MIUI 8 comes with several battery optimisations to make it last longer. Read more here

Xiaomi Mi Max sports a 16 MP camera with PDAF and 5 MP front shooter. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back and is as thin as 7.5 mm. Read more here

The smartphone runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 650/652 processor, which is powered by six or eight Cortex A72 and A53 cores with the Adreno 510 graphics chip. The microSD card in Xiaomi Mi Max supports up to 128 GB. Read more here

Mi Max (Snapdragon 650, 3GB + 32GB) will be available at RMB 1499 (Rs 15,330 approx). The Snapdragon 652 variant with 64GB storage (3GB RAM) and 128GB storage (4GB RAM) will retail at RMB 1699 (Rs 17,380 approx) and RMB 1999 (Rs 20,450 prox) respectively. Read more here

MIUI 8 allows users to clone apps and manage multiple accounts on their smartphone. Users can also split their smartphones into two accounts. With MIUI 8, users can take long screenshots.
