Last weekend, chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani launched the flagship store of Swadesh in Mumbai, inviting friends and family for an early Christmas bash. For the occasion, the Ambani matriarch draped herself in a peacock blue Banarasi saree from Swadesh, showcasing intricate Meena motifs and ancient Kadhua technique. The sari was paired with a custom blouse made by designer Manish Malhotra, featuring a polki border, and each button on the blouse had a miniature painting depicting Hindu deities.
