"We shot for about 38 days underwater and about 60 days over water. So 80-100 days were gone in that, to mount phenomenal action sequences which you’ve never seen before,” shared the actor. (Photo: Varinder Chawla)
Saif plays the antagonist in the movie. He revealed that he is elated to be a part of a big project and wanted to thank his director Vishal Bhardwaj. "I was excited to get offered a big movie. The future is going to be collaborations between the north and south. I think they had seen Omkara and remembered it. So, I need to thank Vishal sir for this. Saif also spoke about how nervous he was and felt like a newcomer. “I had sweat running down my back. I felt very nervous in a very different way. We come from the same country but our states are completely different to one another, going down there was a very exciting experience. It was very kind of Tarak NTR ji and Siva ji to want me in the movie."Devara is set to be released in two parts, with the first chapter arriving on September 27 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
