Sena supporters welcome unity meet with MNS

The meeting is aimed at bringing together the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.

The first public meeting at Damodar Hall,Parel, aimed at uniting Thackarey cousins Uddhav and Raj and bringing together the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena,on Sunday saw a roaring response from middle-aged Sena sympathisers.

The group called for a rally from Matoshree,Bandra,on July 1 to add a further boost to their sentiments. It also announced the launch of a website, which will be put together by IT employees who are part of the group.

Worli businessman and Sena supporter Satish Valanju along with seven like-minded friends had in May taken upon themselves the task of bringing the two parties together.

They felt that the parties fighting against each other was a loss for the Marathi people. We are a non-political forum, and we want to appeal to people who think in similar lines to come along and join the rally, Valanju said.
