John Abraham,along with his personal trainer,Vinod Channa,shared the secret behind his beefed-up look for his forthcoming film Force. The media was invited to Gold Gym in Mumbai,where John goes for his daily workouts. The actor flexed his muscles,did push-ups and cardio to show how he worked to gain more muscle and flexibility for his role as a cop in the movie. John spoke about the importance of being fit. One need not come in front of the camera. Everyone must take time off ones daily routine to do some sort of physical exercise, said the dimpled actor.
Even if he was not well and injured himself at times,John did not miss out even one day of workout during the eight months he worked on his body to gain the desired shape. At times when I could not make it,he would still come to the gym,do his bit and inform me about his progress, said Channa.
Since John is a vegetarian,it was all the more difficult for the trainer as one needs a good input of protein to build muscles. But we achieved it by giving him multi-vitamins and asking him to consume lots of milk,curd,soya and protein supplements, said the trainer.
