Corporation Bank Q3 net up 25 pct

Public sector lender Corporation Bank reported a 25.38 per cent rise in its third quarter net profit at Rs 382.42 crore.

The PSU lender had a net profit of Rs 304.99 crore at the end of December quarter of 2009-10 fiscal,it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total income of the bank increased to Rs 2,735.73 crore during the December quarter,from Rs 2,112.29 crore in the same period last year.

Shares of Corporation Bank closed at Rs 579.90,up 2.17 per cent on the BSE.
