Indian author Chetan Bhagat is all set to step into the shoes of a judge in a new reality show to search potential news anchors in the country.

The 36-year-old novelist will judge the ‘Anchor Hunt’ on Star News along with actress Tisca Arora and Siddhartha Sharma.

“I was impressed by the effort to make a real show. This way,the youth of India could see the selection process. An anchor is required to have good communication and thinking on the spot skills. These are the same skills used in almost any job interview. So whether a young person wants to be an anchor or not, watching the show will help add some useful skills to him,” Bhagat said in a statement.

The author of books like ‘One Night @ The Call Centre’ and ‘Five Point Someone’,said he found something valuable after working on the show.

“I witnessed the raw talent of my country first hand, which frankly is India’s only hope in making it to the big league of nations. After three months,I felt I had an experience of a lifetime,” he said.

“I hope with this show,we have succeeded in providing that. For we as individuals can’t actually change the world. But we can all be that one ray of sunshine, that changes a few lives,” Bhagat added.
