Rawat had accused BJP of fielding dummy candidates in the February 15 assembly polls to spoil Congress's poll prospects.
Rawat's remarks have come in the backdrop of talks doing the rounds that there is a discord between him and Congress state unit chief Kishore Upadhyaya over ticket allotments for the February 15 polls.
He said the strategy of the party will now have an edge and added that Kishor is giving providing his services to the party.
The party has given the responsibility of coordinating with Prashant to the party's state secretary Vinod Chauhan under the leadership of state party vice-president Jot Singh Bisht, Upadhyay said.
A majority of these rebels are known to wield considerable clout in their respective constituencies and BJP in all likelihood cannot afford to disappoint them.
Sources said the Congress urged Kishor to work in Uttarakhand as well where the party was tipped to face a keen tussle with the BJP.
