PM Modi in Jharkhand Highlights: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday said that his government will provide water to every household in the country by 2024. Addressing a poll rally in Gumla, he said that the farmers of the state are getting double benefits due to the policies of the BJP government in the state.
“The result of the double engine of BJP governments in Delhi and Ranchi is that today, the farmers of Jharkhand are getting double benefits. Every farmer family here gets direct help under PM-KISAN, along with additional benefits of Chief Minister Krishi Aashirwad Yojana,” the prime minister said.
“Our government resolves to provide water to every household by 2024 in the country. Just as the work of constructing toilets in every house has been successfully completed, similarly, water will also be provided to every household. Our tribal society will hugely benefit from this mission,” he added.
Assembly elections in Jharkhand are scheduled to be held from November 30 to December 20. Polling will be held in five phases, with the first phase beginning November 30, second phase on December 6, third phase on December 12, fourth phase on December 16 and the last phase on December 20.
Results of the election to 81 seats in the state Legislative Assembly will be declared on December 23.

Mounting a blistering attack on the Congress-JMM-RJD alliance in Jharkhand, PM Modi alleged that their "self-seeking" past governments were driven by the "lust for power" and exploited the mineral-rich state's resources while neglecting its people. He also accused the previous Congress governments at the Centre of procrastinating resolution of the Kashmir tangle and the vexed Ayodhya dispute. "This election is a contest between those who serve and those who loot. Congress has problems, we have the solutions. They have accusations, we have the report of the work we have done. They have empty promises, we have the proof of development," Modi said. The prime minister asserted the BJP was committed to the five principles of social justice--stability, good governance, prosperity, respect for all and security. "Governments were made through the back door. There were alliances of self-seekers who were driven by the lust for power and exploited the resources of the state. They had their eyes on the riches found beneath the surface of the earth and cared little for those living on the earth. How would it then have been possible to give electricity, roads and water to people? Set up industries?" he said. (PTI)
"What did the Congress and its allies do on Ram Janmabhoomi? How were political games played? How was society divided? These people kept the topic of Ram Janmabhoomi hanging for the sake of their vote bank. It was not allowed to be decided" says PM Modi in Gumla
"When Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, he not only created this state but for the first time after independence, a separate ministry was formed for the tribal community and a separate budget was also sanctioned": PM Modi in Jharkhand's Gumla

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses his second poll rally in Jharkhand's Gumla, says, "If Jharkhand had any other government, it would have been impossible to develop the state because the party would be doing politics and not working along with the centre to develop the state."
PM Modi asserted that the BJP governments at the Centre and the state would continue to protect Jharkhand's 'jal', jungle and 'zameen' (water, forest and land). Condemning last week's Naxal violence in the poll-bound state, he also paid tribute to the four policemen who were killed in the attack. He insisted that the Jharkhand government had worked day and night to end corruption over the last five years. "The BJP governments at the Centre and the state will continue to protect Jharkhand's 'jal', 'jungle' and 'zameen' (water, forest and land), no matter what the opposition says. The state has made efforts to curb Naxalism in the state and will continue to fight against the menace," he said. (PTI)
PM Modi congratulated Raghubar Das-led government for completing its five-year term, a first in Jharkhand since it attained statehood. "The BJP govt has provided good governance in Jharkhand over the past five years. That is why, for the first time in the state's history, a chief minister completed his five-year term," he added.

But they didn't do that, they cared about their vote bank. Such thinking of the Congress affected the country," he said.
PM Modi said Naxalism was an issue due to political instability. "Governments used to get toppled here, they didn't want to serve people but simply enjoy the power... How could there have been proper roads, industries and electricity, given the situation which was here," he added.
