Kaiserganj Election Results 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate Karan Bhushan Singh has won the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh, continuing his family’s legacy in the constituency.

Singh defeated the Samajwadi Party’s Bhagat Ram by a substantial margin of 1,48,843 votes, securing 5,71,263 votes compared to Ram’s 4,22,420 votes. This outcome marks a significant consolidation of the BJP’s stronghold in the region.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the BJP’s sitting MP from the constituency, who had won the last two Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019, was dropped from the party’s list following allegations of sexual harassment by a group of wrestlers.

In his place, the BJP has fielded Karan Bhusan Singh, the son of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Karan Bhusan Singh will face off against Ram Bhagat Mishra of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Narendra Pandey of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Kaiserganj, one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, comprises five Vidhan Sabha seats. The constituency has not been a historical stronghold of any single party, as they all have their respective time frames of dominance in this seat. The BJP, which won the last two Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019, currently has momentum on its side.

Kaiserganj went to the polls in Phase 5 on May 20 and witnessed a voter turnout of around 55.68 per cent. According to the India Today-Axis My India exit poll, the BJP is projected to retain the Kaiserganj seat in the 2024 elections.

Looking at the previous election trends, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Kaiserganj seat by a margin of over 2 lakh votes and had been the sitting MP since 2009.
