Four killed, seven wounded in shooting attack in Israel’s Jaffa, two shooters neutralized

According to Israeli police, the two gunmen were neutralized by the forces. Police further added that the families of the four victims have been informed.

Amid the heightened tensions in the Middle East, Israel’s capital Tel Aviv’s neighbour Jaffa reported suspected “terror” shooting with four casualties while seven people were wounded, Israeli police said in a statement.

According to Israeli police, the two gunmen were neutralized by the forces. Police further added that the families of the four victims have been informed.

According to news agency Reuters, TV footage showed suspects armed with guns getting off at a light rail station and opening fire.

The MDA ambulance service of Israel reported that it received calls at around 7 pm (16:00 GMT) of people being injured by gunfire.

The MDA further stated that medics and para-medics gave medical aid to the wounded people on the site who had varying degree of injuries and some were in an unconscious state.

Israel has also been attacked by Iran’s air borne weapons amid the escalation of a heightened tensions in the Middle East.  As the fear of a full blown war grows, Israel’s conflict with Gaza based Hamas, Lebanon based Hezbollah and now Iran has escalated.

Though Israel’s military has said that it is not aware of any casualty or injury being reported from Iran’s missile attack on Jerusalem. In a latest report by the Israeli media, Times of Israel, reported that Jaffa attack casualties have increased from four to eight but an official statement by the country’s police is awaited.
