The US President Donald Trump’s administration has reportedly deported three US citizen children, including a 4-year-old who was suffering from metastatic cancer along with their mothers, according to the families’ attorneys, reported CNN.

Detailing the deportation, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) through a press release on Friday informed that a mother was deported from the US along with her 2-year-old, while another mother was also deported with her 4- and 7-year-olds.

The attorneys said that women were detained while they were attending a routine meeting with officials which was a part of Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP).

As the Trump administration continued its immigration crackdown, the family lawyers said that deportation of women along with their children from the US highlights a concerning reality about a lack of due process in the government’s functioning.

“We are seeing in real time due process erosion. That is deeply concerning and these cases are an illustration of that,” said Gracie Wills, lawyer of a 2-year-old child who was deported along with the mother.

The press release of ACLU targeted Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) for deporting children and their mothers and said, “These actions stand in direct violation of ICE’s own written and informal directives, which mandate coordination for the care of minor children with willing caretakers, regardless of immigration status.”

The Trump administration has been strict in sending the illegal immigrants back to their turf while facing dozens of court cases. A federal court has agreed to hear a plea filed by 2-year-old child’s lawyers and set the hearing date of May 16.
