Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state of Madhya Pradesh were concluded on Monday, May 13, with all its remaining eight seats going for polling in phase 4. The state recorded its highest voter turnout in the fourth phase with a total number of 70.98 per cent voter turnout. After all four phases, the final voter turnout for Madhya Pradesh in the 18th Lok Sabha elections stands at 65.85 per cent. The announcement of results on all 29 seats of the state will take place on Tuesday, June 4, as per the official announcement from the ECI.
Madhya Pradesh, also known as the ‘Heart of India,’ is one of the most important states during any of the Lok Sabha Elections, as the high number of seats in the state makes it a high stake battleground for the political parties.
Madhya Pradesh is known for aligning its point of view with national issues, making the elections even more competitive, as all the parties want to claim the majority to prove their cause is supported by the people of all-important Madhya Pradesh.

The political wind of the state is known for changing its direction on an alternate basis, causing a constant tussle between BJP and INC. However, with a resounding win in the state assembly elections last year, BJP will be more than confident to claim the majority, while INC with the help of newly formed I.N.D.I.A alliance will be looking to make a strong comeback in the state.
When is Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections?
The Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh are usually contested in the second half of the election period. However, in the 2024 General Elections, ECI has decided to switch the scenario, as the state will open their ballot boxes and EVMs in the first half, with the official dates being April 19, April 26, May 7, and May 13.

The Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh were held in four phases in 2019, and with ECI once again following the same model in 2024 , the General Elections in the Heart of India will once again see the polls being conducted in four phases.
How many Lok Sabha constituencies Madhya Pradesh has?
The state of Madhya Pradesh is one of the most sought after states during any Lok Sabha elections, due to having a total of 29 seats in their account, making it the sixth largest state in respect to number of seats. Out of 29 seats, ten seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while 19 are unreserved. In the 2019 elections, BJP registered a massive victory by winning 28 of the 29 seats, and with a huge win in last year’s state assembly elections, BJP will once again be hoping to sweep the state in their favour.
