Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express Train: The Indian Railways is preparing to launch the third Vande Bharat train in the country, set to debut on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route after completing its final trials. Crafted at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, this cutting-edge train has recently embarked on a 15000 km trial journey to ensure its readiness for seamless integration into the Indian Railways network. This upcoming Vande Bharat train will set a new standard in energy efficiency, passenger comfort, and safety features, outperforming its predecessors on routes such as New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Katra, the FPJ highlighted. With the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route already well served by a variety of train services, including the popular Vande Bharat, Tejas, and Shatabdi Express trains, the upcoming launch of the new express train on this corridor promises is set to raise the bar even higher in terms of efficiency and passenger comfort. Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: Design and structure As per the reports a new express train will be launched in a blue and white colour scheme, featuring AC chair cars and executive chair cars. The train will also have four platform-side cameras, including rear-view cameras outside the coach. The train will use higher-efficiency compressors and UV lamps for germ-free air supply, improved heat ventilation, and air-conditioning control. The Coach Control Management System will be improved, allowing better monitoring and feedback to the control centre and maintenance staff. Each coach will also have a 32" display, enhancing the train's flood-proofing capabilities. Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: Speed and travel time The Vande Bharat train on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route has improved acceleration and deceleration capabilities, allowing it to reach 160 kmph in 140 seconds, reducing travel time by approximately 45 minutes, compared to the previous 145 seconds, which typically takes 5 hours and 25 minutes. Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: Schedule and timings The new Vande Bharat train on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route is expected to follow a similar operating schedule as the existing Vande Bharat trains on this corridor, running six days a week, with the exception of Sundays. The new Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express, designated as train number 22962, is set to depart from Ahmedabad at 06:10 am and arrive at Mumbai Central at 11:35 am. While on the return journey, train number 22961, the Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express, will leave from Mumbai Central at 15:55 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 21:25 pm.
