Ram Navami Bank Holiday (April 17): Ram Navami is celebrated across the nation as the day marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, significant for Hindus. It falls on the ninth day of the Chaitra month, the first month in the Hindu lunar calendar.

Notably, as per the RBI’s official bank holiday calendar, depending on the state, most banks across most regions of the country are closed on April 17 to observe Ram Navami. Even though the banks will remain closed, the bank’s services will still be available online to ensure that the customers are unlikely to face any problems.

This year, in 2024, both public and private banks will be closed for around 14 days in April, including weekends that fall on the second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays.
