Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is one film that is difficult to get over. And you cannot not obsess over the verse recited by Fahan Akhtar ‘Toh Zinda Ho Tum’ which you might have seen as people’s Facebook statuses when the movie was released.
‘Toh Zinda Ho Tum’ from the film, written by lyricist, poet and Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar had moved us enough that it practically became our favourite part of the film. Of course, there was friendship, love, exotic locations and Bagwati that made the movie quite a memorable one. But whenever we think about ZNMD, it’s the poem in Farhan Akhtar’s voice that comes to mind. Isn’t it?
Knowing everyone’s love for it, a Youtube channel decided to create a parody version. The version called, ‘Toh Zinda Ho Tum – Facebook Version’ is ‘punny’ and apt. It exactly pinches you what our lives have become in the Facebook era.
A Youtube channel, Mudgal Kreations, created a parody version of the poem from the film in Akhtar’s voice and style commenting on how our everyday life has started to reflect on Facebook. The parody talks about Facebook status messages, food updates, and several check-ins that we do impulsively and without much thinking.
The sarcasm in the parody is evident but it’s a way to remind us that not everything happening in our lives demands to be updated on social media.
Well, we don’t exactly know what has led to such compulsive behaviour but we can say you shall enjoy this. Let us know your views about the parody in comments below.
