The sedentary lifestyle of 9 to 5 office jobs barely leaves time for any physical activity. Often HR departments in corporate offices hold special events to raise the morale of the workforce and give their dull workday a fun twist.

Now a video from one such intervention is going viral. On Friday, July 28, fitness instructor and social media personality Sahil Sharma shared a video on his Instagram account that showed him teaching a bhangra lesson to a group of desk workers in what appears to be a corporate office.

This clip has gathered over 1.7 lakh likes. While many people found the video fun, a few thought that making employees participate in office events seemed like a needless obligation, especially if the office culture leaves little space for work-life balance.

Echoing the former sentiment, an Instagram user wrote, “It’s good idea to remind an employee that they are not machine ”. Another person wrote, “The most happening session happened in our company .. Loved the energy here ”.

Expressing an opposite opinion, an Instagram user wrote, “Dance karo khuch bhi karo me 6 baje ke baad kaam nahi karunga (You can do whatever you want, including dancing, but I will not work after 6 pm)”.

Another person put up a critical post in Hindi which loosely translates to, “First you frustrate the employees and then you make them dance”.
