Vir Das issues ‘clarification’ for PR agencies requesting exclusive access to their clients

"There’s unfortunately too many people to meet everyone, we believe everyone is equally important irrespective of where they sit," wrote Das on X.

Vir DasNetzizens also supported his clarification.

In an X post, comedian and actor Vir Das has conveyed a message for PR agencies –– that every audience member, regardless of background or influence, will experience his performances on equal footing, and that no one should request any special treatment, or private meet and greet sessions.

“Being rich gets you zero special privileges at my show. Your client will pay the same price, stand in the same line, and witness the same show as every comedy fan there,” Das wrote on X.

“We sometimes have people show up to the green room with managers telling us how important or successful their client is,” Das remarked, highlighting the need for clarity on his stance.

The comedian concluded with a welcoming note to his audience, expressing hope that his performances would resonate equally with all attendees. “Cheers, and see you at the show,” Das wrote.

X users extended support to the comedian. One user wrote, “Well done Vir… keep doing the right thing.” Another user said, “Your fair and honest self reflects in your writing. That’s what makes you great. You are awesome!.” And a third user said, “Looking forward to waiting in line for your next show.”
