US ambassador’s bhangra moves on 'Tauba Tauba' during Diwali celebrationsDuring Diwali celebrations at the Embassy of the United States of America in Delhi, Eric Garcetti, the US Ambassador to India, surprised everyone by hitting the stage for a lively Bhangra performance on the hit Hindi track Tauba Tauba from the film Bad Newz.
Clad in a brown kurta and sporting a pair of shades, Garcetti moved with enthusiasm as the crowd erupted in applause and cheers. The video of the performance shows a visibly excited audience, embracing the ambassador’s energetic groove to the Vicky Kaushal-starring song that became a chart-topper earlier this year.

The video has gone viral with over 1.5 lakh views in just hours from posting. ANI posted the video on X with caption that reads, “US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti dances to the tune of the popular Hindi song ‘Tauba, Tauba’ during Diwali celebrations at the embassy in Delhi.”
Many X users also took to the comments section to share their views. One user wrote, “This is amazing. It feels much good when the foreigner embraces your culture. Diwali has become global festival.”
Last year, Garcetti put on quite a show at the US embassy’s Diwali celebration, dancing to the iconic Bollywood track Chhaiyya Chhaiyya. Originally released in 1998, the song, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora dancing atop a moving train, remains beloved by Indians to this day.

Garcetti recently celebrated Durga Puja in Delhi’s Chittaranjan Park. He had Bengali favourites like fish curry, sweets, aloo-chicken biryani, and jhaal muri, as well as participated in the customary Dhunuchi Naach. He also explored a nearby pandal.
