Shah Rukh Khan’s meeting with Raj Thackeray hasn’t gone down well with people on social media/ Twitter: @DOCTORATLARGE
The much-awaited Raees is scheduled to release on January 25 and Shah Rukh Khan has made sure that his film hits the screens without any hassle. He recently met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray and informed him that his co-actor in the film Mahira Khan, a renowned Pakistani actress, will not be asked to come to India for promotions and neither will he work with Pakistani actors in the future.
“There was news in the media for past one week that SRK is going to get Mahira Khan to India for film promotions. So he came here to meet Raj saheb to tell that Mahira Khan is not coming to India for any kind of film promotion and he will also not cast any Pakistani artistes in future,” said Amey Khopkar, an MNS member.
SRK, was obviously taking precautions after the huge controversy MNS created over Fawad Khan’s role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil a few days after Uri attacks. Khan’s friend Karan Johar had to bow down to the MNS supremo and promised to not work with Pakistani actors again. In fact, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis himself arranged a meeting between Thackeray and the Producers’ Guild to make peace.

His decision of meeting Thackeray hasn’t gone down well with many on social media, who believe he couldn’t act as ‘King Khan’ or Chief’ as the name of his film suggests. He is being made fun of and reprimanded for not standing up to the bullying. As indianexpress.com columnist Ujjal Dosanjh wrote in his open letter to SRK titled, “‘King Khan’, you bowed to hate, hate won”, “I never thought you, the King, could succumb to such illegal and unseemly conduct of any goons, let alone the right wing religious fanatic variety.”

SRK has to take permission from Raj Thackeray to release his film. A person with one MLA is more powerful than CM of state. Hail democracy! pic.twitter.com/COb5YpcUZR

SRK meets Raj Thackeray for Raees release. Unlike Johar, SRK is a smart businessman, he knows how to save money by ignoring brokers like CM.

Be it avoiding clash with SULTAN or meeting Raj Thackeray to broker a deal… SRK surely has ‘Baniye ka Dimag’, not ‘Miyanbhai ki Daring’ !!

Darr was the reason SRK became A Star. Darr was the reason he met Raj Thackeray
