‘Brilliant capture of the Bengaluru spring’: Train passes amid trees adorned with pink flowers

The garden city of India is now decked up with pink flowers; it is the time of the year when the neotropical tree tabebuia rosea embellishes Bengaluru. A video offering an aerial view of the city is doing the rounds on the internet.

Tweeted by Raj Mohan, a photographer, the clip shows different shades of pink adorning the picturesque landscape. A train is seen passing through the lush green fields and past the blooming trees. A waterbody located adjacent to the row of trees adds to the visual treat.

Railway official Ananth Rupanagudi shared the video and wrote, “This is such a beautiful video of the railway landscape amidst the lovely cherry blossoms of Bengaluru! Brilliant capture of the Bengaluru spring! 👍 #IndianRailways #Bengaluru #Spring #CherryBlossoms.”

Netizens cannot stop gushing over the breathtaking view. A Twitter user commented, “Whattay. Pink Bengaluru and Trains. These are a few of my #favouriteThings.” Another user wrote, “amazing colours, so beautiful.”

In January, photographs capturing blooming tabebuia rosea went viral on social media. The photographs seemed like a painting and the glimpses of pink flowers lying on roads were indeed a sight to behold.

Tabebuia rosea, native to Central America, grows up to 30 m and January, February, March and April mark its flowering season. They were planted in Bengaluru in the British era and in the post-Independence period.
