The Himalayas, the Earth’s highest peaks, are a sight to behold. While several adventure seekers travel to Nepal, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and other parts of India, Bihar’s Madhubani has recently been blessed with the majestic views of the ranges of the Himalayas.

The now-viral video shows a zoomed-in view of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas as viewed from Jainagar, Madhubani in Bihar. The spectacular view was possible due to recent rainfall that brought clear skies and low pollution levels. Sharing the video, an X user @Satyamraj_in wrote, “View of the majestic Himalayas as seen from Jainagar, Madhubani, Bihar.”

The video quickly went viral, amassing over a million views and an array of reactions. “Unfortunate Nepal couldn’t become one of the state of India else tourism it would have seen around Kathmandu and border area of North Bihar from Jainagar, Jogbani, Raxaul,Bhitamore becoming major transit spot for tourists and so many local development and employment,” a user wrote. “Mt Everest as seen in this video is 8.8km tall. That’s REALLY tall. Think about this, planes fly around 8km to 10km height and what’s more interesting is the fact that you enter space at 100km height,” another user commented.

“As this post is blown out, create few top notch home stays , let people from all India enjoy that view,” a third user reacted. “Looks majestic,” a fourth user wrote.

A similar sight was reported in 2020 in Bihar during the COVID-19 lockdown due to less pollution. Ritu Jaiswal, Mukhiya of Gram Panchayat Singhwahini, a village in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district shared a picture claiming it shows the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest.

The Himalayas are the highest mountain range in the world and have nine out of 10 of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest.
