Enjoyed with green or sweet chutney or sometimes with cholay (chickpeas), samosas are special in every Indian household. Now a street vendor has irked netizens after he went the extra mile and came up with a “Mamosa”. A video is doing rounds on the internet showing the vendor selling samosas with manchurian. The street vendor first smashes a samosa on a plate and adds manchurian to it. He garnishes the plate with green-red chutney and onions. Shared by a food blogger Chahat Bhalla on Instagram, the video had “Manchurian + Samosa = Mamosa” in its caption. Watch the viral video here: The video has garnered around 2 million views since it was shared on Instagram, leaving netizens disgusted, though. One of them wrote, “This is not an combination at all.” Another user commented, “Manchurian gravy left the chat!” “Disaster in taste,” a third user said. Last week, a video of a vendor making dry-fruit omelette surfaced online. The vendor added cheese, tomatoes, onions, butter, bread, and oregano to create the fusion. The video, shared by @yumyumindia on Instagram, begins with the vendor preparing the batter. He then stuffs the paratha with chocolate mix. Bizarre food combinations are all the rage on the internet. While some try out such fusions to give a kick to their taste buds, a section of foodies dreads such experiments.
