Shraddha Kapoor becomes third most-followed Indian on Instagram, surpasses PM Modi amid ‘Stree 2’ success

Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently basking in the success of Stree 2, has proved her mettle with stellar performances in films like Aashiqui 2, Chhichhore, Baaghi, and more. Besides her professional career, the actor’s social media game often remains in the limelight. Kapoor has now achieved another milestone by becoming the third most-followed Indian on Instagram with 91.4 million followers, surpassing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has 91.3 million followers.

The only two other Indians with more followers than Kapoor are star cricketer Virat Kohli and global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, with 271 million and 91.8 million Instagram followers, respectively. PM Modi is far ahead of prominent politicians including Congress’ Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and world leaders including US President Joe Biden.

Notably, Kapoor has been receiving love for being her “authentic self” on social media, be it sharing photos with her pet dog or showing her love for food.

On the professional front, Kapoor’s Stree 2 alongside Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi, has now crossed Rs 250 crore at the box office, surpassing collections of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 and Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

Kapoor was earlier seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhooti Main Makkar.
