In recent years, there have been many reports of social media creators putting their lives at risk for the sake of a few seconds of viral content. One recent incident involved a man in Uttar Pradesh who slipped from a moving train while attempting a reckless stunt for an Instagram reel. This incident occurred on a train traveling from Kasganj to Kanpur.

According to Bharat Samachar, a major mishap was narrowly averted when the train suddenly stopped, allowing the man to get down safely without injury. The now-viral video captures the man hanging from the outside of the moving train, desperately clinging to another passenger in fear. As the video progresses, the train suddenly halts—likely due to passengers pulling the emergency chain—and the man falls onto the tracks. Miraculously, he gets up and boards the train again.

Soon after the video came to light, the official handle of Additional Director General Kanpur directed the Fatehgarh police to investigate the incident.

With over 1,56,000 views, the video triggered an outrage among social media users. “Reels are temporary, but broken bones can be permanent. Some stunts just aren’t worth the price,” a user wrote. “I don’t know what happened to people, they are putting their lives at risk under the influence of reel,” another user commented.

“Risking life for a Reel is not worth it! Glad he was saved, but hope this serves as a lesson—safety should always come first,” a third user reacted.

In February, a man at Bihar’s Anugraha Narayan Road railway station was caught on camera slapping a random passenger on a moving train. As the train passed, the man reached out from the platform and struck a seated commuter while his friend recorded the act.

Authorities acted promptly, with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) confirming through their official X account that the accused, identified as Ritesh Kumar, was arrested. Kumar was also instructed to release an apology video.
