The city of Bengaluru is notorious for its traffic. Many people vent out on social media about the long traffic queues and how it takes a long time to reach the Kempegowda International Airport as it is a considerable distance from the city.
A man took to X, formerly Twitter, to share his take on reaching the Bengaluru airport on time if you have to pick someone up. Vishal Jain said if you have to reach the Bengaluru airport to receive someone coming from Mumbai, it is advisable to leave from home around the same time the person is boarding their flight.
“Bengaluru survival tip: If you are going to receive someone at Bengaluru Airport arriving from Mumbai, to reach airport on time leave simultaneously when people board their flight. You will reach by the time they land or not!!” he wrote.
He also shared a screenshot of his ride that he booked using an app. It took him 132 minutes (more than two hours) to travel a distance of 45 kms and cost Rs 1,047.

In September, former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble was seen commuting on a bus from the Bengaluru airport to get home. The 52-year-old, who once coached the Indian team, took to X to share a selfie as he stood in a Vayu Vajra bus run by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) because cabs were not available at the Kempegowda International Airport. Other passengers appeared to not take much notice of him. “BMTC trip back home today from the airport,” Kumble wrote along with the post.
