Former India captain M S Dhoni is known for his humble and down-to-earth nature despite having one of the biggest fan followings in the country. A video capturing Dhoni’s humble demeanour is winning hearts online. The clip shows the Chennai Super Kings skipper posing with a little girl on his lap.

The clip was posted on Instagram by Sumeet Kumar Bajaj, a professional tennis player and Dhoni’s playing partner. Bajaj’s daughter was on Dhoni’s lap as they posed for a photo. The girl was holding a chocolate in her hand and it kept coming in the frame.

So, Dhoni gently requested her, “Isko thoda neeche kar lo (Please keep the chocolate a bit low).” “IT’S ALL ABOUT TODAY. Thank You So Much Mahi Sir,” Bajaj posted as caption.

Dhoni announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket on August 15, 2020. The 42-year-old played his last international game in 2019 when India lost the World Cup semifinal to New Zealand.

The 2007 T20I World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup captain is still going strong in the IPL. In the 2023 IPL, Dhoni guided CSK to their 5th title after defeating Gujarat Titans in the rain-affected final.
