Joshua Bassett took fanservice to new heights, quite literally, when he climbed the ledges of a concert venue’s balcony to meet fans.

The 22-year-old actor and singer was performing at The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts when he reached up to fans on the higher seats because he could not see them properly from the stage.

After talking to some fans, the former High School Musical star started singing as he walked on the railings’ ledges. A video of this stunt is going viral on Twitter. In the video, some fans are heard screaming “Don’t do it” as Bassett continues to sing while walking precariously close to falling. It appears that he is not wearing any safety gear. The incident took place on March 11, during one of Bassett’s ‘Sad Songs in the Hotel Room’ concert tours.

Commenting on the former Disney actor’s dangerous antics, a Twitter user wrote: “Does he think Jesus will be there to catch him if he falls like.” This is also believed to be a remark on Bassett’s vocal religious beliefs.

Among the jokes, many people raised concern for Bassett’s safety and questioned how his tour managers allowed him to do this. Echoing this sentiment, a Twitter user remarked: “I don’t know the kid but he shouldn’t be doing all that with no harness or protection. Someone needs to be looking out for him because I don’t think he’s okay.”
