Cracking interviews is a skill. While it is impossible to cheat in an in-person interview, there have been many cases where candidates have cheated in virtual interviews. A video of one such virtual interview from 2017, in which an interviewer caught a candidate lip-syncing to someone else giving answers on his behalf, has gone viral again.

In the video, only the interviewer’s screen showing the candidate is visible. Interviewer asks, “So have you worked on any triggers in your experience?”

The candidate, who seemed taken aback by the question, says, “Yeah,” but from then on, his lips don’t move, but we can hear someone answering the question. He tries to lip-sync to the answer being given by someone else on his behalf but fails miserably.

“Hold on! Hold on! I think it’s not you who is speaking. Someone else is speaking here and you are just lip-syncing. I can also hear your voice, the candidate who is sitting right in front of me. I caught you! I clearly caught you man! The other guy is talking and you are also speaking in your low voice,” the interviewer says.

Sharing the video, an X handle @MallikarjunaNH wrote, “Lip syncing in the interview. Guess from which state this hard working candidate belongs to.”

A user wrote, “Not just lip synching there are many other issues I have seen in my life. One of my resource came to the United States but did not even knew English. Basic English. It was hard to communicate. Then there are people who take 500$ per interview to do interview for you. The ethics is lacking with people.”

Another user wrote, “When I took interview I got couple of people like this and I caught them.”

“They cheat mark sheets as well.. Do everything to go to usa” a third user reacted.
