According to a statement from the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed that the GST Council had agreed to the proposals submitted by the Union Government on GST rate cuts and reforms, which are aimed at benefitting the farmers, middle-class, women and youth, common man, and MSMEs.
“This wife ranging reforms will improve the lives of our citizens and ensure ease of doing business for all, especially small traders and businesses,” Modi said.
