Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is turning heads with his electrifying ‘Dil-Luminati’ concerts in India. However, after the singer was served a notice by the Telangana Government on November 15 against songs promoting alcohol and drugs during his Hyderabad concerts, Dosanjh has replaced alcohol lyrics with ‘coke’, prompting the soft-drink brand Coca-Cola to respond to it.

In the viral video, Dosanjh replaced ‘5 tara theke’ to ‘5 tara hotel’, and ‘daaru ‘ch lemonade’ to ‘Coke ‘ch lemonade’, during his Hyderabad performance, leaving concertgoers in splits. The video also caught the attention of Coca-Cola.

Responding to the video, the brand commented, “Chautha kaam twade gaane japne!” loosely translated as “our fourth job is to sing your songs”.

“Going for Diljit’s concert and being able to witness Chamkila’s akhada was the best feeling,” a third fan reacted. “Thats how he slams the govt & haters ! Dosanjhawala is a GOAT !” another fan commented.

However, after the Hyderabad concert, the singer performed in Ahmedabad, where he refrained from singing any alcohol-themed songs.

Addressing the matter to the crowd, he explained, “Even today, I won’t sing any song about alcohol. That’s because Gujarat is a dry state. I have sung dozens of devotional songs. In the last 10 days alone, I released two devotional tracks, but no one talks about that. Everyone on TV is only focused on “Patiala Peg”.”
