Pranay Awadhiya, a copywriter from Chhattisgarh, came across a job posting from Swiggy Instamart and decided to apply for it. However, instead of sending a traditional resume and cover letter, Awadhiya made a six-slide presentation and posted it on LinkedIn to pitch himself for the role. “Hello Swiggy Instamart, I saw that you are hiring a copywriter! So, here is something for you,” he wrote, sharing the “pitch deck”.

In the first slide, Awadhiya wrote, “LinkedIn se pata chala Swiggy Instamart is hiring copywriter, to mai bhi agaya apni creativity ka order lekar (Learned from LinkedIn that Swiggy Instamart is hiring a copywriter, so I am here with the order of my creativity,)”

In one of the following slides, he made a strong case for himself, writing, “Nature se soft aur skills se crispy hoon. Client ke options aur Swiggy ke notifications ke ishaaron pe naachta hoon (I’m soft by nature and crispy in my skills. I dance to the tune of client options and Swiggy notifications.)”

Drawing a parallel between his creativity and Swiggy’s stocked-up groceries, he wrote, “Meri creativity grocery ki tarah stocked rehti hai, bas add to cart karne ki deri hai (My creativity is stocked up like grocery, it’s only a matter of adding it to the cart.)”

Awadhiya closed his pitch with a nod to Bollywood, giving a twist to a dialogue from Jab We Met‘s Geet, played by Kareena Kapoor Khan: “Aap hire karne ke liye convince hogaye ya main aur slides add karoon (Are you convinced you need to hire me or should I make more slides?)”

Take a look at the post:

With his unconventional job application, Awadhiya set the bar so high that LinkedIn users are urging the company to hire him. A user wrote, “You may get confused between dhaniya and pudina, but i don’t see any confusion in your work. So Creative!”

Another user commented, “Swiggy Instamart you should add him to your hiring cart ASAP. Pranay Awadhiya this is so cool & creative.”

Now, the Internet is waiting to see if Swiggy takes notice of Awadhiya’s creative approach and hires him.

Recently, a musician went viral for taking an unconventional approach to finding a job—by using dating apps. In the viral photos, she was seen messaging her Hinge matches if they are hiring and if they could get her a job.
