Bollywood singer Arijit Singh is one of the most celebrated artists worldwide. In July, he surpassed Taylor Swift to become the most-followed artist on Spotify. Recently, he stunned his fans during a London concert by performing a reprised version of the Saiyaara title track. Originally sung by Faheem Abdullah, the song has been trending across social media platforms.

However, the concert allegedly ran past its scheduled curfew of 10.30 pm, prompting the management to cut the power. In the now-viral video, Singh can be seen passionately performing Saiyaara as the crowd sings and cheers along. The clip then cuts to scenes of chaos as the power is shut off and the audience begins to exit the venue.

Sharing the video, Instagram handle @thewhatup wrote, “London stadium allegedly cut power at Arijit Singh’s show without letting him say goodbye or finish the song due to the 10:30 PM curfew. Meanwhile, the video of him singing ‘Saiyaara’ at the concert is trending.”

Following the video’s release, reactions poured in online. While many fans were disappointed, others praised the enforcement of rules. “Rules are rules. I wish this happened in India too,” one user commented. Another said, “Noise pollution is taken seriously in the UK. Residents can report violations after curfew. Also, Arijit arrived late, which contributed to the delay.”

A third user noted, “If this can happen to A.R. Rahman in Mumbai, it can happen to anyone, anywhere.”

In June, Singh broke the Internet with his collaboration with British singer Ed Sheeran. The duo released Sapphire, which sparked a new trend on social media and featured none other than Shah Rukh Khan.
