At the highly-anticipated “We, Robot” event held in California, United States of America, on Thursday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk introduced futuristic innovations including humanoid robots, called Optimus, along with self-driving cars and vans. Several humanoid Optimus robots were seen walking around, serving drinks, and even handing out gift bags to the attendees.

Now, a video showing one of the Optimus humanoids having a human-like interaction with a guest is going viral. In the video shared by @cb_doge, the guest says, “It’s crazy, I’m talking to a robot!” During the banter, the guest asks Optimus what the toughest part of being a robot is, and it replies: “Trying to learn how to be as human as you guys are,” startling everyone.

The video has amassed 3.9 million views by now, and many users expressed their amusement. One user wrote, “This tech is years ahead of any competition.” Another user said, “Now I know that small talk with a robot will be as cringe as with a human.” A third user commented, “Do we really need chatty robots when it seems like real human interaction is being sidelined? Call me old-fashioned, young man!”

Emmanuel Huna, another X user and an architect and coder as per his bio, shared a video where he is seen playing “Rock, paper and scissors” with an Optimus. “I just asked @Tesla Optimus to play rock, paper, scissors, and it did – check it out!” he wrote in the caption.

In a demo video played at the event, Optimus was also seen watering plants and picking up packages.

“The Optimus will walk among you. You’ll be able to walk right up to them, and they will serve drinks,” Tesla CEO Elon Musk said at the event. He also said that these robots will be capable of babysitting, walking dogs, and mowing lawns.
