‘Saylor Twift’: Taylor Swift’s new wax statue in Germany leaves fans fuming; here’s why

Taylor Swift is undoubtedly the most influential pop star who has enthralled generations. Swift continues to make waves with her Eras Tour and the record-breaking album The Tortured Poets Department. The singer added another feather in the cap as he got a new wax figure at the Panoptikum Wax Museum in Hamburg, Germany.

According to Billboard, the wax statue was inspired by her 2019 iHeart Radio Music Awards look. In the viral video shared by the museum, Swift’s wax statue can be seen adorned with a sparkling sky-blue playsuit. The wax figure also features a heart gesture made with hands, which Swift has been doing onstage for years now. Swifties pointed out that the singer does the symbol with all her fingers tucked in, however, the statue’s fingers are all out.

Taylor Swift’s wax statue at Germany’s oldest wax museum did not sit well with millions of her fans, who reacted to the viral video, calling out the museum. “So it’s certainly not easy to recreate someone out of wax and there’s definitely a lot of work involved, so respect that they did it. However, it doesn’t really look like Taylor. The face is somehow different, she also wears red lipstick and she also makes the heart with her whole hand. It’s just Ashley,” a fan wrote.

Another fan commented, “Darling, it’s a daydream dressed like a nightmare.” A third fan reacted, “Taylor should sue them!! It’s terrible.”

Earlier, Madame Tussauds’ Dubai location unveiled a wax clone of the singer dressed in the look she sported at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards. Before that, Madame Tussauds London displayed a wax figure inspired by her Shake It Off music video.
