The Prince and Princess of Wales–William and Kate Middleton–participated in a Welsh cake-making challenge as they prepared for St David’s Day celebrations. During their visit to Pontypridd on Wednesday, they inspected how the local community is recovering from severe flooding that happened in November.

While there, William and Middleton assisted a local trader, who had been working hard to keep up with orders, the BBC reported. The viral video shows the couple helping roll out the pre-prepared dough, with William asking the shop owner, Theresa Conner, who had shown them the process, “Is it thick enough?”

As flour gets stuck to the sleeve of his maroon sweater, William grins and jokes in the video, “Well, I’m not sure, but my impressive baking skills, Mary Berry taught me everything I need to know.” Middleton donned a brown sweater.

“Lovely couple so happy so beautiful,” a third user said.

Some of their cakes were served when the Prince and Princess sat down at the nearby Fountain Cafe, enjoying tea while speaking with market traders and local business owners. They discussed the impact of Storm Bert, which caused widespread flooding in Pontypridd when the River Taff burst its banks in late November, The Independent reported.
