The ultimate wife guy! – Mark Zuckerberg reveals 7ft ‘Roman’ statue of wife

Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday unveiled a striking 7-foot statue of his wife, Priscilla Chan, in a move inspired by ancient Roman traditions.

The sculpture, which is roughly 7ft tall and is created by renowned artist Daniel Arsham, stands tall in Zuckerberg’s backyard and is rendered in a vibrant green hue with a dramatic silver cloak.

The Facebook co-founder shared the pictures of statue on his Instagram handle, describing it as a revival of the Roman custom of crafting sculptures to honour one’s spouse.

In his post, Zuckerberg expressed his intention to bring back this historical practice, emphasising his deep admiration for Chan.

Zuckerberg along with photo showing Chan standing next to the statue, wrote – “Bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife”.

Priscilla Chan joined the conversation with a playful comment on Zuckerberg’s Instagram post, saying, “The more of me the better?” along with the heart emoji. In the picture, Chan can be seen casually dressed in a dusty pink robe and sipping from a travel mug.

Chan also reshared the post on her story with the caption, “You can’t miss me.”

Daniel Arsham, the New York-based artist behind the sculpture, is known for his work with high-profile brands like Tiffany and Dior.

People magazine, calling Zuckerberg “the ultimate wife guy!”, noted that in Roman times, statues were occasionally crafted to honour deceased loved ones or to “refer to significant relatives and to make meaningful associations”.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have been married for over 12 years and have three daughters: Maxima, August, and Aurelia. Their relationship began in 2003 when they met at a college party while Zuckerberg was studying at Harvard.
