In a scene similar to the film Madagascar, a circus lion was captured on camera wandering through the streets of an Italian town after it escaped from its enclosure. The lion named Kimba escaped from the Rony Roller circus in the seaside town of Ladispoli, near Rome, and was caught five hours after the initial alert was raised, according to a report by the BBC. Shellshocked locals recorded the lion roaming the streets. A man named Michele Galvani shared a video of the lion walking the streets of the seaside town. “The lion walking through the houses of #Ladispoli. Unbelievable what is happening today,” says the caption of the video, translated from Italian. I hope that as soon as possible they ban the exploitation of animals in circuses,” a user wrote in Italian. “Free these creatures from their cages, let them live in their habitats, boycott animal circuses. All animals, must be respected!!!” said another.
